Huawei is already the third largest mobile manufacturer in the world . This shows a job well done that, thanks to its wide catalog and accumulated experience, has been rewarded for all the effort with devices like the Huawei P9.
But not everything could be pink, and as Samsung itself has happened with the Note 7 and other devices …… Huawei also presents common problems in certain models, which we will number below and tell you about some possible solutions .
Problems with Huawei in notifications
Since the arrival of the Huawei Ascend P7 , many users began to notice that a failure appeared with WhatsApp notifications , causing them to not arrive after suspending the terminal screen, being necessary to enter the application to receive them all at once.
Although it seemed that everything would be in a specific model, the error has been reproduced in other models, such as the Huawei P8 Lite or the Huawei P9 .
Despite the fact that the company simply says that it is an application and not a phone failure, everything seems to be due to the customization layer, so you can try the following steps to solve the problem :
- Access Phone Manager
- Enter Optimize / System Optimization and delete what you request
- Access the Notification Center / WhatsApp (or application that fails) and check all possible options
- Activate the Notification light function in Settings / Device / Display
- Enable Always use WiFi on hold in Settings / WiFi / Menu / Advanced settings
- Always activate data by networks in Settings / Wireless and networks / More / Mobile network
- Activate applications to work with the screen off in Settings / Advanced settings / Battery manager / Protected applications
How to fix problems with notifications on Android
If the problem still persists, we recommend that you contact Huawei so that they are aware of the problem, as well as with your telephone company.
Repeated PIN code requests
Some models, such as the Huawei Ascend P1 , had a problem when reading the SIM card, asking for the PIN code on certain (random) occasions when it did not correspond.
In many cases, this problem was solved by making a copy of their SIM card, perhaps because the mobile does not have the best SIM reader and the card was somewhat damaged.
However, in other cases the problem persisted, leaving the only solution to contact our telephone company and Huawei directly.
Various problems on the Huawei P9
In the case of the Huawei P9 , it turns out that several security bugs were discovered that could compromise the data on the device. But the thing was not there, but even occasional problems with the camera, the notification LED, the interface or the unlock screen itself.
Huawei reacted and we already have an update that corrects all of them, the new update EVA-L09C432B136 , which occupies a total of 117 MB.
When we get into boot failure problems we already get into serious issues, and in the event that we see how the phone freezes in the boot logo, perhaps we have installed something that has affected the phone’s boot sequence , or she could even have done it herself.
First of all, we will enter the recovery mode ( Vol + and On) and we will do a wipe data / factory reset and a wipe cache, to see if, after restarting the device, we are lucky to have fixed the problem.
If the problem persists we will have to see which was the last UPDATE.APP that we installed (or which one came from the factory). With this information and our model, we will search for and download the correct UPDATE.APP (build number equal to or greater than the one we had, corresponding ROM operator) to proceed with installing it.
If it fails, we could take the battery out for about 10 seconds and retest. In case of failure, call the technical service and send our device.
Pass the logo, but stay in the boot animation
The boot animation is the animation behind the logo to see the turn on your phone. If we see that the phone takes time to finish the animation, first of all we must be calm if it is the first time that we start a newly installed ROM or we have done a wipe data / factory reset, since the first time we have to prepare the entire system operating from scratch.
But if it is not the first time or it is past 5 minutes, then we have a problem .
For this, we could test a wipe data / factory reset together with a wipe cache and / or dalvik cache .
If the problem persists (after waiting the required minutes as it is a first start after the wipe), then we have done something wrong when installing a zip , it may be incompatible or it may have been improperly installed. The solution in this situation is to enter the recovery, do all the wipes (as above) and reinstall the ROM .
My Huawei does not turn on or charge
Here we distinguish two problems: if it does not charge, we should try removing the battery for a few hours and putting it back. If after this we have verified that it still does not load, the problem is hardware and you should contact the technical service.
But if it does not turn on, the failure could be both hardware and software, and could be from an electrical failure until we have erroneously modified the Bootloader (even accidentally, for example when installing a zip of another model instead of ours). Be that as it may, you can try flashing it to its original state or resorting to technical support.
My Huawei does boot, but with the pink screen
If on any of the occasions we try to install an UPDATE.APP using the forced method (Vol + Vol- and On), it may be that we have a wonderful pink screen instead of the firmware installation screen.
No, it is not a question of aesthetics, but rather that the SD card is damaged or that the dload folder is wrongly copied.
The only solution would be to verify that said folder is located at the root of the external SD card (if we do not have an external one, then the internal one) and that we have the UPDATE.APP inside it. If not, we should try setting that folder path.
But you can be lucky and instead of having a pink screen, have it blue . This is usually due to processes and modifications without having a clear idea of what we are doing, causing a screen freeze in this color.
The solution in this case for to use install an UPDATE.APP.
Image Signature Verify Fail
If the Image Signature Verify Fail message appears, it is because the original recovery is not installing zips files with the proper signature (Huawei).
Most official ROMs that have been released for Huawei (either Huawei or operators) usually go in UPDATE.APP format, which we can install through the Firmware installer, thus regenerating the Bootloader to solve most of these problems.
The only solution to this case would be for the compilation that we have tried to install in UPDATE.APP format (or higher) to exist . If this file does not exist, I’m afraid we have no choice but to go to the technical service.
I can’t install anything with the recovery mode
If when trying to install a zip we have a canceled installation that tells us that it has not been able to open the root.zip file , we will have to correctly download the zip and try again with the correct file.
If the problem is that the SD card corrupts the files, we should format it or even replace it with another one to see if the problem is in the card itself.
If even with a new card the problem persists, the failure could be in a poorly installed, corrupt or old version of recovery, for which we should install a current standard recovery (TWRP, CWM) using Fastboot.
If unfortunately the problem is still there, the problem will surely be in the recovery partition, for which we should install an UPDATE.APP.
For everything else, technical service.
These are just some of the problems that we can find and some possible solutions. Although we hope that none of you have had any problems, if unfortunately you did, tell us about your experience.
